Face2Face Medical
In October I trained for my HSE Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate, I am now officially a trained first aider! I think this is an awesome qualification to have and i hope it will be benificial in everyday life.
In November I achieved my Paediatric First Aid Certificate. Another useful qualification, as many of my friends have children.
My training was with Face2Face Medical Ltd based in Slough. I now work for Andrew Cottrell, the Magaging director part time at fates, fairs, carnivals, kickboxing comps, horse shows and many other public events. I feel this keeps my first air training and knowledge up to date.
If you are interested in first aid cover, for an event please contact Andrew on: andrew@face2facemedical.net and to find out more information of services supplyed by the company. (Please mention myself and where you heard of the company)

Written and directed by Bart Gavigan, and starring Frank Rautenbach, Frank Henson and C.C Smiff.

"After an unexpected tragedy, an inner-city teen in Reading, England struggles to put together disturbing pieces of his life. As he grapples with what he has lost, he finds life, love and unexpected strength in a terminal cancer patient."
I am still waiting for a release date for this film, but as soon as I know you will know!
It's a Filthy City!!
The Filthy Cities series for BBC 2, explored in depth what really went on in the streets of Medieval London, Revolutionary Paris and 19th Century Industrial New York.
This series was acompanied by scratch and sniff cards that were available in the Radio Times and really helped to bring the images to life! Directed by Jeremy Turner, Louise Hooper and Andy Robbins, all having a very different style to bring these stories to life, but all including the juicy details of the stentch, and grotesquness!! Along with Dan Snow's animated story telling, you really could feel like you were there.
Yes i am sculpting hourse poo, into nuggets
so it looks more like horse poo! Oh the glamour!!
Whilst working along side Alex Ward, as Art Director on these programmes, i really did learn a great deal of history, and have an emense amount of fun building and dressing sets, from filthy streets to kitchens, market stalls to infirmarys, cess pits and toilets, playing with, dressing and squirting blood, looking after the maggots, attending to the pigs head, throwing veg at Ben Jones (one of the actors) whilst in the stocks, helping the dead rat to act on cue, making a vast amout of different types of fake poo! and much much more!
The programmes can still be found on You Tube:
Hit Girls
In 2010, after returning home, i was ready to get stuck into work, i had greatly missed the film and tv industry. My first job back was working as a runner on a featurette 'Hit Girls' Written by Gillian MacGregor and directed by Adrian Vitoria. Starring Gillian herself along side Rosey Fellner and Joey Ansah. A very funny film, and a joy to be a part of.

Face2Face & Langkawi
When make up work was quiet, I took on some work for a friend who has set up his own company Face2Face Medical, I was working as an event steward. Not an area i wanted to get into, but always good experiance working with the public.
When work remained quiet, and the resession had hit I decided to take the oportunity to have some time off and visited a little island I had discovered whilst travelling Langkawi! For a 4 week holliday. And when times remained quiet at home I decided to stay!! Helping out in a local bar, making juice and icecreams and looking after the little shop on the beach. I also helped out on a friends yacht. Damai-Indah is a beautiful Indonesian woodern yacht, captained by a german lady called Eva. (I would highly recomend a day trip, it really would be an unforgetable experiance!) I had an amayzing time living in Langkawi, it taught me to live minimally and apreciate life. Something I believe everyone should experiance. I finally decided to return home after 6 months away (Because my passport needed renewing!)

After leaving university...
After leaving university in 2006, and whilst working in an
awesome local restaurant in Eton (Gilbeys, awesome food, highly recommended!) I
was introduced to The Gilbeys son Julian Gilbey a Director. Who at the time was
filming ‘Rise Of the Footsoldier’, a british gangster film starring Ricky
Hartnet, Terry Stone, and Craig Fairbrass and featuring a line up of other
fantastic actors. He has recently co written and directed ‘A Lonely Place to
Die’, a very different but ultimately fantastic thriller film. Julian gave me
the opportunity to shadow a fantastic sfx artist ‘Richard Allport’ after just
one day observing and being used as an extra Richard asked me to assist him on
some of the filming. This was my first job in the industry and cemented the
idea in my head for wanting to be a sfx artist. Although only being credited as
a runner, I had the opportunity to assist on the sfx make up and prosthetics
for this film, a fantastic experience.
